December has arrived, which means the holiday break is approaching. I'll be taking a couple of weeks off for a family reunion during Christmas week. Although I was initially stressed about it, I'm now eagerly anticipating spending time and relaxing with my whanau at the marae for Christmas. After that, we're heading down the coast for a few days, and I'll return to the clinic on January 6th. I've also posted the December calendar on Instagram and Facebook. I have one more week of regular hours, and during the third week of December, I have a few late evenings before wrapping up on December 19th. It's hump day today, so this week already feels like it's ending, leaving just two more weeks of work.
There are a few things I'm looking forward to, as I'm working on agreements this month to hopefully bring another therapist into ORA. It's a process because it can't be just anyone; values are crucial to ORA and its future direction, so I'm hoping to find the right person. I also have days dedicated to administrative tasks because I really need a day just for social media. I now have days solely for massages and a day just for myself. I absolutely love my massage days and am still trying to enjoy my admin days, as social media tends to take up much of that time, but it's a work in progress.
